Recently, a video circulating online shows two men dressed as "Monkey King" near the Foshan Ancestral Temple Museum, taking photos with pedestrians and demanding payment from a foreign man after the photo session.In the video, after taking a photo with the foreign man, "Monkey King" presents a payment code, and the foreign man takes out some change from his wallet. One of the "Monkey King" characters took 60 yuan, and the video caption reads: "30 yuan each, start taking photos once you grab someone."According to previous reports by The Paper, on January 14th, residents reported that on a street in Chancheng District, Foshan, Guangdong, two individuals dressed as "Monkey King" were charging fees after taking photos with foreigners.The staff of the Zumiao Street Office made a statement: ...In response to similar situations, our office has repeatedly guided and reminded the public, including deploying staff to intensify patrols in crowded areas, proactively exposing such incidents on media platforms, using loudspeakers for announcements in the vicinity, etc., to continuously remind citizens.In the future, we will further increase patrol efforts, strengthen joint law enforcement, and reduce the occurrence of similar situations.We advise citizens that when encountering or discovering incidents of forced demands for money or repeated entanglement and harassment, please promptly call 110 to report, safeguarding individual rights, and collectively maintaining a civilized and harmonious social atmosphere.
